The South African Railways and Harbours Administration (SAR&H - SAS&H in Afrikaans) was established on 31 May 1910 with the formation of the Union of South Africa by the amalgamation of the four colonial railways and all harbours in South Africa.
The South African Railways Police (SARP) was responsible for policing the railways, harbours and airports of South Africa.
The SARP was amalgamated into the South African Police in 1986.
