The Staffordshire Regiment (The Prince of Wales’s) was formed in 1959 when the North Staffordshire Regiment and South Staffordshire Regiment amalgamated to form a single one-battalion regiment. In 2007, it merged with The Cheshire Regiment and The Worcestershire and Sherwood Foresters Regiment to form The Mercian Regiment.
Badge in the form of the Staffordshire knot surmounted by the Prince of Wales's feathers emerging from a coronet above a scroll with the Prince of Wales's motto, in German, 'Ich Dien' (I Serve).
