In 1965 the Bavarian uniforms were re-modelled. Mützensterne (cap-stars):
The cap badges were standardised. There was only one shape of star in white-silver finish, but the (state) Land Police and each of the Town Police had their own individual coat of arms in the centre.
1972, the Landpolizei was renamed the Landespolizei. The Bavarian State Police is the state police of the Free State of Bavaria (Freistaates Bayern).
In 1975 the West German Police Forces adopted a new nationwide standard uniform designed by Heinz Ostergaard.
The standard uniform consisted of:
1. Moss-green: tunic, parka, pullover without shroud, coat, visor cap and necktie,
2. Brown-beige: trouser, pullover, and cardigan and
3. bamboo-yellow: shirt (long and short sleeve),
4. Shoes, boots, holsters, leather jackets, and other leather gear were black,
5. Leather gloves were olive drab.
