White metal with enamel “NES” Tudor (King’s) crown badge for National Emergency Services New South Wales. Australia. Circa 1939 to 1945. Manufactured by Angus & Coote, Sydney. The National Emergency Services, NSW (NES) was formed in February 1939 during World War Two (WWII, WW2). Two small holes in the banner are placed to suspend a metal bar, probably a Warden bar, which is missing.
Used, but fair condition with brooch attachment fitting intact. Ref: BB1.
