The Royal New Zealand Armoured Corps (RNZAC) is the overall umbrella grouping of Regular Force and Territorial Force units equipped with armoured vehicles in the New Zealand Army.
The New Zealand Armoured Corps was formed on 29 March 1944 from the nine Mounted Rifles Regiments and the 18th, 19th and 20th Battalions serving in Italy.
The Royal prefix was granted on 12 July 1947.
