The Koninklijke Militaire School (KMS) did opt for its own existing emblem, formed from two crossed Spontoons (the symbol for Non-Commissioned Officers). The Spontoons are held together by a ribbon, and the whole is surmounted by the royal crown.
It is one of the oldest emblems still in the same form.
Koninklijke Militaire School (KMS) is a Dutch military school in the Netherlands training soldiers and non-commissioned officers for the Royal Netherlands Army.
The KMS began as the Onderofficiers School (OOS), in 1952 and was renamed KMS in 1961.
