The Koninklijke Militaire School (KMS) did opt for its own existing emblem, formed from two crossed Spontoons (the symbol for Non-Commissioned Officers). The Spontoons are held together by a ribbon, and the whole is surmounted by the royal crown.
It is one of the oldest emblems still in the same form.
