The silver bullion embroidered patch and title was worn on the green tunic jacket.
The embroidered star badge was worn on officer's caps and on berets.

The Bundesgrenzschutz (BGS) was established on 16 March 1951 as a subordinate agency of the Federal Ministry of the Interior and was originally primarily focused on protecting the West German borders.
The BGS was renamed Bundespolizei (Federal Police) on 1 July 2005.
At the end of 2005, a blue police uniform was introduced to the Federal Police. Federal Police type blue uniform.
